Ordering Prints Online From Hampton Photo Arts

Ordering Prints Online From Hampton Photo ArtsOrdering, sharing, and even selling your photographs online is just a step away at Hampton Photo Arts. We offer two types of accounts: Standard and Photographer. Both are available after completing a short online registration form.

If you want to upload your digital photographs to us so that you can order prints to be delivered to your home or share them online with your friends and family then all you need to do is sign up for our Standard account. This free account starts off with 250 megabytes of storage for your photos. Once you've created your account there is no need to deliver your memory cards to our store, you can simply upload the images from them to your account on our server and we'll take it from there.

If you are local to our store in The Hamptons then you're welcome to stop by to pick up your prints. Otherwise, we'll Order Photosbe happy to send them directly to your home, wherever you are. You can also use your Standard account to create and organize photo albums online for your friends and family to view, a great way to share memories of special occasions such as weddings, reunions, newborns, or just a day in the park.

If you wish to create a professional looking online portfolio and sell your work then choose our Photographer account. This account allows for additional storage compared to the Standard account. It also provides the ability for you to sell your photographs, including fine art giclée and canvas prints, to your customers at whatever price you wish. Hampton Photo Arts will deduct their normal print costs from that price and the remainder will be sent to you as your profit.

Another great use for the Photographer account is for organizations to set up galleries in order to allow members to view event photographs online or order prints to keep for themselves. Of course, your organization can offer this print service at cost or you can set a higher price as a fundraising opportunity.

The Photographer account starts out with at $30 annual fee for 500 megabytes of storage, which you can increase as needed. Your customers will be provided fast access to your images. Your work will also be backed up daily to keep the images safe from data loss.

Whether it's the Standard or the Photographer account which meets your needs, getting set up for online digital photography service with Hampton Photo Arts is just a few clicks away. Why not start now?

Art of Photography

Art of PhotographyPhotography is an amazing art form. A photograph album is a catalogue of life's history as seen through the camera. People, animals, nature, holidays, celebrations and even disasters are captured instantly and recorded as part of history. It is through the powerful presentations of photography that we better understand the progression of time and life. Hampton Photo Arts has over twenty years of experience working with photographers as they seek to capture and preserve the history of families and communities.

When families get together, both children and adults love to look through photograph albums. They enjoy seeing the childhood photos of older family members and compare themselves to ancestors who lived a hundred or more years ago. Photos are among the most important treasures of every family. They should not be faded and dull. They contain the smiles, tears and emotions of generations. The staff members at Hampton Photo Arts display excellence in the art of photography reproduction. They work with the highest quality materials. They know how to create family memories that will be just as beautiful one hundred years from now as they are today.

Learning to Paint Watercolors

Watercolor is an easy, fun medium for creating art.  Color theory, composition and design can be explored freely with watercolor paint, paper, and brushes.  Several techniques may be used with watercolors for varying effects including painting wet on wet, wet on dry, layering washes, and more.

Watercolor paper comes in cold press, hot press, and rough.  Rough paper has the most texture, and its hills and valleys can result in interesting effects when paint is added.  Hot press is the smoothest and has the finest texture.  Cold press has a moderate amount of texture and is the paper most commonly chosen by watercolor artists.

Watercolor paper comes in several weights ranging from 90 lb. to 300 lb. based on the pounds per ream of paper.  Most artists prefer to use at least 140 lb. paper.  Papers vary somewhat between manufacturers, so sampling different papers is advisable.  Paper can be purchased in pads, in blocks or in large sheets.  The large sheets are usually the most economical and can be torn into whatever size is desired.
