We print up to 40x60 inchs and can print on canvas, art paper, watercolor paper, glossy photo paper and matte photo paper. Want to print your own photos? Hampton Photo Arts also carries digital photo paper for printing from your computer. Media Transfer Hampton Photo Arts can scan and convert all digital media (SD cards, compact flash, etc.) slides, photos, negatives, artwork and more to CD and DVD format. Duplication Services We can quickly turn your master discs into as many CD or DVD copies as you need. We’ll duplicate any optical media. Please note Hampton Photo Arts will not reproduce copyrighted material. Photos By Mail Hampton Photo Arts processes all 35mm, APS, Black & White and 120/220 film. Prints are available in glossy or matte finish, and with or without white borders. Photo CDs are available upon request. We also make reprints and enlargements from slides, negatives, photo discs and memory cards in all sizes from wallets to 40x60 posters. Film is processed the day we receive it and it is returned to you by USPS 1st class mail. Passport Photos Come in to Hampton Photo Arts in normal street attire. We will take a photo of you on a white background. It is important to remember passport photos require a simple, neutral expression. Hats, hooded sweatshirts and sunglasses are not allowed for the photo. If you require dark glasses on account of a medical condition, a medical certificate must be furnished. If your headwear is worn daily for religious reasons, you will be allowed to wear it in your passport photo. | Learning to Paint Watercolors |

Watercolor is an easy, fun medium for creating art. Color theory, composition and design can be explored freely with watercolor paint, paper, and brushes. Several techniques may be used with watercolors for varying effects including painting wet on wet, wet on dry, layering washes, and more. Watercolor paper comes in cold press, hot press, and rough. Rough paper has the most texture, and its hills and valleys can result in interesting effects when paint is added. Hot press is the smoothest and has the finest texture. Cold press has a moderate amount of texture and is the paper most commonly chosen by watercolor artists. Watercolor paper comes in several weights ranging from 90 lb. to 300 lb. based on the pounds per ream of paper. Most artists prefer to use at least 140 lb. paper. Papers vary somewhat between manufacturers, so sampling different papers is advisable. Paper can be purchased in pads, in blocks or in large sheets. The large sheets are usually the most economical and can be torn into whatever size is desired. |
