Expo dry erase markers are erasable from porcelain dry-erase boards as well as glass and unpainted metal. Their plastic color-coded barrels make color identification simple. The 8-Color Set includes all of the colors listed plus brown, orange, purple and yellow.

Turquoise professional drawing pencils are pure and smooth in a variety of grades. The lead sharpens to a perfect point for a scratchless, glossy line in any weight. The pencils do not contain rainforest wood. Each set contains 12 pencils of varying grades except SA24222 which is a 6-pencil set (HB, 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B and 9B). The soft grade Art Set is ideal for sketching and rough layouts and contains grades 9B through H. The medium grade Sketching Set is versatile for a variety of drawing and sketching techniques and contains grades 4B through 6H. The hard grade Design Set is great for precise drawing and contains grades B through 9H.

These affordable pastel sets are made from quality pigments, waxes and oils. Larger than standard oil pastel sticks, they measure 2-3/4" long by 7/16" round and are encased in paper sleeves for neatness. The vibrant colors maintain good lightfastness and blend easily. Formulated for smooth drawing and a wide range of effects, these colors are also suitable on many surfaces.

Watercolor is an easy, fun medium for creating art. Color theory, composition and design can be explored freely with watercolor paint, paper, and brushes. Several techniques may be used with watercolors for varying effects including painting wet on wet, wet on dry, layering washes, and more. Watercolor paper comes in cold press, hot press, and rough. Rough paper has the most texture, and its hills and valleys can result in interesting effects when paint is added. Hot press is the smoothest and has the finest texture. Cold press has a moderate amount of texture and is the paper most commonly chosen by watercolor artists. Watercolor paper comes in several weights ranging from 90 lb. to 300 lb. based on the pounds per ream of paper. Most artists prefer to use at least 140 lb. paper. Papers vary somewhat between manufacturers, so sampling different papers is advisable. Paper can be purchased in pads, in blocks or in large sheets. The large sheets are usually the most economical and can be torn into whatever size is desired. |
